National Two team of the year
Rugby Times publishes a team of the year which is selected by way of votes cast by the various coaches. This year Ally Bressington has been selected in the right wing position for National Two, although a number of other Stourbridge players must have come close. The full list is as follows:
15 Neil Hallett (Esher), 14 Ally Bressington (Stourbridge), 13 Chris Malherbe (Wharfedale), 12 Mark Bedworth (Wharfedale), 11 Matt Moore (Esher), 10 Gareth Cull (Nuneaton), 9 Craig Aikman (Halifax). 1 Duncan Cormack (Esher), 2 Liam Wordley (Henley), 3 Wayne Reed (Launceston), 4 Tom Bason (Blackheath), 5 Rob Hurrell (Henley), 6 Josh Lord (Launceston), 7 Wayne Sprangle (Launceston), 8 Mark Bright (Redruth).
Interesting to note that the pack is dominated by Henley and Launceston, Champions Esher have a couple of backs and one forward in the team but the centre pairing both come from Wharfedale.
Stourbridge's selections in previous years were Nathan Bressington and Ben Harvey in 2003-4.
