Next season's league structures
The recent North Midlands Clubs' Conference gave details of the likely structure of the Midlands leagues next season.
Main changes are
- Midlands 1 and Midlands 2 West and East become National League 3 Midlands and Midlands 1 West and Midlands 1 East respectively. There will be 14 teams in the league
- the Midlands 3 leagues (where the Lions are currently) and Midlands 4 will become Midlands 2 and Midlands 3 respectively with 12 teams per league
- all other leagues will be 10 or less sides
- no relegation from the current Midlands 2 downwards to accommodate the increase in league sizes
- there will be National Cup competitions for the new Midland 2 and below but no National cups for leagues
- no monetary rewards for National Cups
- County Cup competitions will continue
