Pre season tour to Jersey

Plans are under way to organise a club tour before the start of next season and we have been approached by Jersey RFC where former Stour player, Ben Harvey, is now plying his trade as Head Coach. Our aim is to take at least two teams, hopefully three as well as a small management team and band of supporters.

Jersey RFC currently lie top of League National 3, London and are an ambitious and progressive club, running four senior sides as well as having an active M&J section. Their 1st XV squad includes a number of former International and Premiership players as well as county representatives with additional strength in depth from local academy players (not unlike Stour)!

This should be great test of rugby, for both sides, as well as a great way to start off next season. You can become part of this superb experience!

Brief details are as follows.

Tour dates are 27th-29th August 2010.

Cost TBC but we will aim to keep it below £195pp.
Cost will include flights, all transfers and 2 nights B&B.
A golf tournament, on Friday afternoon can be arranged, subject to demand.
Saturday will be spent at Jersey RFC, watching the games, followed by a BBQ and music.
Sunday can be spent sight seeing, shopping or just chilling out in the Jersey sunshine before flying back to the UK.

We are looking to raise funds through sponsorship, advertising, donations or any form of fund raising activities and further details will become available in the near future.

The tour is open to all club members, wives, girlfriends etc but places are limited and will be allocated strictly on a “first come, first served”, basis.
