Stourbridge beat Bridgnorth 43-7. A large crowd of over 100 people were entertained by some excellent rugby. New players are welcome to come and see the set up at Stourbridge, as we are eager to build on the squad for next season.

Training
Training is on Wednesday nights at 6.30 pm. Extra session on Monday nights following weekends we do not have a match.It is our second season in the RFUW league structure and players of all abilities are welcome. Please contact the Ladies Captain, coaches or team manager Vicky if you are interested.
Stourbridge Ladies Presentations 2008-09
At the Annual Club Dinner on the 3rd July, the Ladies Section held their presentations of bouquets of flowers for Player of the Year, Most Improved Player and Player’s Player.
Most Improved Player was awarded to Charlie Pugh, who went from a complete novice to an established and effective front row player by the end of the season; always turning up for training with a positive attitude and working hard on her skills.
Players Player was awarded to Wendy Harrison whose infectious enthusiasm, was an inspiration to the rest of the team, not to mention her awesome tackling and hand offs.
The inaugural presentation of the Player of the Year trophy went to Katie Yates for her all round contribution as captain and top try scorer, and her leading by example was the bedrock of the teams’ excellent season.
The presentations were made by Neil Mitchell, Director of Rugby, who congratulated all the ladies on their successful first season in National Challenge League Rugby.
