Rampant U16's Roll on (Sunday 13/4)

Stourbridge RFC under 16's won through to the Final of the North Midlands Cup with a tough away victory over Birmingham Solihull on Sunday.

Stourbridge kicked off and soon found themselves in the lead with a well taken try from Kyle Lockley which was converted by Sam Baker, which was quickly followed up with a solo effort from flanker Dan Scot who broke through the Birmingham defence to score out wide and make the lead 12-0. Before half time Birmingham came back with two tries and a conversion to level the scores at 12 all.

Early in the second half full back Alex Wells joined the line and finished off a move with a try right on the corner flag which Baker converted to make the score 19 - 12. Once again Birmingham came back with two tries and a conversion to give them the lead for the first time in the match 19-24. With five minutes to go Stourbridge hit back with a try under the posts by Liam Marshall which was once again converted by Baker and there then ensued some frantic defending before the final whistle ensured a 26 points to 24 victory.

The final is to be played on 27th April at Luctonians RFC against Worcester kick off 2.00pm.
